Haiku Island Press is a new approach to publishing that engages creators from the first spark all the way to a final crafted object. The Press is the creative initiative of artists Tess Leak and book designer Orlagh O’Brien working in collaboration. Tess’s practice incorporates visual art, text, sound and music and is inspired by ‘the generosity of finding surprises’. Orlagh’s background is in graphic design and teaching with an ongoing interest in craft-printing, bookmaking and collaborative workshops.
